Purpose (summary only)
The Spectral Witness Protocol establishes procedures for the management of testimony, observation, and record-keeping in circumstances where the reliability of witness account is complicated by the witness's relationship to time, existence, or the observed object.
The document addresses: verification of spectral witness account; conditions under which such accounts are admitted to the register; storage and access restrictions applicable to spectral records; and handling procedures for objects that generate, retain, or respond to witnessing.
Requesting access
Access to the full protocol should be requested in writing to the Registrar, citing the research purpose, institutional affiliation, and the specific object file or site condition to which the request relates. The Registrar will respond within fifteen working days.
