Because a radio show would turn me into a voice. This place turns me into a footnote with hostile librarians. That felt safer.

If this is an operation, its effect is subtle: normalize the idea that the most credible insider is the one who never proves anything. That is worth resisting even if Dan is sincere.

Agreed. Sincerity does not cancel effect. A truthful wounded person can still function as a rumor vector. That is not moral blame; it is information hygiene.
