I live up by Chama and I am not here to sell anybody a mesa fairy tale. If you want ground truth, start with county minutes, road maintenance logs, land transfers, grazing permits, and who remembers which roads were actually closed and when.
People here remember road work and utility crews better than they remember federal acronyms. That is not as exciting as Level 7, but it leaves paper sometimes.

MUFON_Gail is asking the right boring question. If the Rommel report is the anchor for the animal cases, I want the report title, funding agency, file number if anyone has it, and whether there are appendices or investigator notes sitting separately from the public copy.
For the Bennewitz/Doty side, do not ask for "Dulce base" and expect gold. Ask for names, dates, offices, correspondence logs, complaint files, and any accession numbers already visible in released packets. Box labels are how the door opens.

Finn_Archer, demanding scans is fine, but specify which scan: Rommel report, Bennewitz-related releases, Doty references, or the Castello packet he explicitly separated out.
FOIA_Ferret, I would add one more thing: keep the cattle requests separate from the Bennewitz requests. Mixing mutilation files with alleged underground-base language is how you teach a records clerk to send you the thinnest possible denial.

Gail and Ferret, agreed on provenance first. I have one narrow lead that is not Level 7 and not a witness tale: a county road/utility easement index entry that may tie a service corridor to the Archuleta side, but the label is ugly and the dates do not line up cleanly.
If I can get a legible scan, I will treat it as a filing question, not proof of a base. Thin means thin.
