SURVEY The Underhold

GG-D9 is the Underhold: the sub-terrestrial homeland of the Drûl — a worked-out world of iron galleries, basalt halls, and ash under its own sunless sky, governed from the seat the prisoners learned to call the Ember Throne. It is the only destination the programme classifies HOSTILE, and the only one from which something has come back the other way.

First contact is recorded under INC-GG-05; the empire's reply — the NORTHGATE incursion — under INC-GG-11. Both expeditionary returns to GG-D9 are logged under Mission Logs. It is documented here for completeness only.

Dialling GG-D9 is prohibited at any disposition. It is not a place we go. Increasingly, it is a place that tries to come here.
