The phrase super soldier is bait.
The practical goal is a man who can be monitored, steered, kept awake, protected from load and blast, and replaced in the data stream when he breaks. That is less cinematic and much more believable.

Working model after three days of replies: selection, regulation, interface.
Selection chooses people who already tolerate the envelope. Regulation pushes sleep, fear, pain, and recovery past humane limits. Interface makes the body readable and steerable by the command system.
That is not a new man. It is a managed man.

If harm exists, it will show after the demonstration is over. Disability claims, sleep disorders, endocrine follow-ups, neuropsych referrals, pain clinics, addiction treatment, and discharge language.
The damaged body is the archive. Please do not turn that into monster stories about the subjects. They would be workers inside a machine.

Records to request or at least name properly: training rosters, consent waivers, mishap boards, contractor deliverables, test-range schedules, medical-board abstracts, and budget lines for human performance support.
None of those will say super soldier. That is why they are useful.

Separate gear procurement from biological capability. A sensor suite, HUD, biometric monitor, and encrypted command link can change the tactical loop without changing the soldier's cells.
The machine part may be bought in pieces, then described as training once it is wrapped around a person.

Closing my side of the argument for now. The comic version asks where the engineered giants are. The documentable version asks where the interface was tested, who carried it, and what happened to them afterward.
Monster remains unresolved pending paperwork, but the shape is visible enough: not a superior species, a human limit turned into a managed boundary.
