Description

The lowest-level heading in HTML.

Syntax

<H6>Tiny heading</H6>

Attributes

None.

Usage Guidelines

• Use very rarely.
• If you need H6, consider splitting the document into more pages.
• Do not make navigation depend on its visual appearance.
• It remains structural even if the browser draws it very small.

Common Mistakes

• On low-resolution displays H6 can be too small to be useful.

Authoring Note

Write the document first, then test it in a graphical browser and a text browser. The page should remain understandable if images fail, colours are ignored, or the browser uses its own fonts.
