A second-level heading for a major section.

Syntax

None.

Usage Guidelines

• Use H2 for the main divisions inside a page.
• Do not skip to H4 simply because you prefer its size.
• Browsers gave headings default spacing, so extra BR tags are usually unnecessary.
• A good H2 makes printed pages and text browsers easier to scan.

Common Mistakes

• Do not wrap a whole paragraph inside a heading.

Authoring Note

Write the document first, then test it in a graphical browser and a text browser. The page should remain understandable if images fail, colours are ignored, or the browser uses its own fonts.
