Marks a citation or title of a work.

Syntax

None.

Usage Guidelines

• Use for titles of documents, books, articles or specifications.
• Use near quotations and source references.
• Do not use CITE merely to get italic display.
• When linking to a source, wrap or combine CITE with A carefully.

Common Mistakes

• CITE is not for the name of every person quoted.

Authoring Note
