Description

Marks a quoted block from another source.

Syntax

<P>Quoted text.
</BLOCKQUOTE>

Usage Guidelines

• Use for actual quotations, not just indentation.
• Introduce the quote in a paragraph before it.
• Keep nested blockquotes rare; they become wide on small screens.
• Use CITE inside or near the quote for a title or source reference.

Common Mistakes

• Using BLOCKQUOTE for layout is a common habit but weak structure.

Authoring Note
