Hi. I'm Raymond. If Dale sent you (the SHED), then you're alright by me — he doesn't vouch for just anyone these days.

This is what's left of my website. I used to keep a big page here with the full plans for a proper Faraday cage you can actually live in — not the foil-hat business, a real one: copper mesh, a bonded door, a clean earth, the works. That page is not here anymore. I took it down myself, in the end, and I'm not putting it back. You can see where it used to be — THE CAGE PAGE — for whatever that's worth.

A homemade walk-in Faraday cage in a small spare room: fine copper mesh over a timber frame, a bonded mesh door, an earth wire to a stake, a mattress and a lamp inside.
the cage in my spare room. fine copper mesh, bonded door, clean earth. you sleep better in it. you really do.

What it's for is peace of mind. You spend one night inside one of these — properly built, properly earthed — and you notice the difference, in your head, the way you notice when a fridge you'd stopped hearing finally switches off. That's all I'll say about why. Build one and you'll understand, and if you don't understand, you don't need one, and good for you.

I keep this little homepage and the links and that's about it now. Things got complicated. I'm fine. I'm just quieter. If you want to build a cage, sign Dale's guestbook with the phrase and he'll point you somewhere safe.

⚠ if a grey estate car parks across from your house and nobody gets out, that is not paranoia, that is observation. write down the plate. tell a friend. carry on as normal.
