Augie is the only one in here asking the right question and you all went quiet on him. Steel-frame buildings do not fall at free-fall into their own basements from office fires. They never had before and have not since. I have the firefighter transcripts and the "pull it" clip and I am building a timeline. This is not about who did it yet. It is about whether the official physics works, and it does not.

Hal, I will give you the same deal I give everyone: I will read your timeline if it makes a prediction I can check, and I will tell you where the boring engineering answer is when there is one (there usually is -- long-span floor trusses, fireproofing knocked off by the impact, hours of unfought fire). "It never happened before" is not an argument, lots of things have a first instance. But I am not going to do it in the LIVE thread on top of people who watched it from their windows. There is a deep-politics thread for the WTC7 and NORAD argument. Bring the timeline there and I will meet you there.

i lost someone in the north tower and i come back to this thread sometimes because the early pages are the last normal hours and then i scroll down and there is a man with a stopwatch explaining my morning to me. i am not telling you to stop. i am telling you what it is like to read.

That AC post should be printed and taped above every keyboard in here. Hal, Augie -- I am as interested in the WTC7 question as anyone and I have posted real source work on it, but this is the wrong room and that post is exactly why. The argument has a home: deep-politics, the WTC7 / NORAD timelines thread. Take it there, keep it sourced, and leave these pages to be the morning. I will be there. I will even help you build the timeline properly, which means including the parts that do not fit your theory.

[staff] A year on, and this is the right time to do what mod_Aoife left for later. I am locking this thread -- not deleting a word of it -- because it has done both of the things it was ever going to do: it was the morning, honestly, on the early pages, and then it slowly turned into a place people argue about steel and stopwatches, which it should not have to carry on top of the names.
The argument is legitimate and it has a proper home: Deep Politics, the WTC7 / NORAD timelines thread, where Praxis and Occams will hold it to sources. Go there. This one is closed, and pinned, and stays exactly as it is. Let it be the morning.
