Thirty years I kept my mouth shut about what got promised and what got taken back. I am done keeping it shut. Every man I served with who tried to say a word through channels got buried in channels. Channels are the trap. Talking is the trap. This whole BOARD is people talking themselves calm so they never have to do anything. I used to think that was wisdom. Now I think it is the leash.

Cobb, I take the grievance seriously -- a lot of it is documented and real and I have posted the paper on some of it. But "talking is the trap" is exactly the thought that ends with a man alone, ruined, and having achieved nothing for the cause he says he loves. The slow boring channels are awful and they are also the only thing that has ever actually clawed any of it back. Stay in the documents. The documents outlive everybody.

The documents. The documents did not help [name], they buried him too. You are a good man Praxis but you are describing the bars of the cage as if they were a plan. I am past it.

Cobb -- staff, briefly and not as a threat: vent all you like about the institutions, that is half of what this board is for, and your grievance has a real history behind it. But the thread is tilting toward something specific and I am asking you, once, plainly, to keep it on the page and off any particular person or place. That is the only line and you are walking up to it. Take the night.

No. I am not taking the night. Here is what needs doing and here is who needs it done to: [several lines removed by staff] -- starting with [text removed] at [redacted], and if any of you had a spine you would [redacted] [redacted]. Channels are dead. You all know I am right and you will all [redacted] when it is your turn.

I tried. For what it is worth I think the man was in real pain and nobody in his actual life was listening, which is how people end up shouting it at a forum at two in the morning. None of that makes the post anything other than what it was, and the ban is right. I am going to go back to the filing cabinet, where the fight is slow and boring and does not get anybody hurt. That is the whole argument, really. That was always the whole argument.
