[staff] Pinned because we have cleaned up this same mess too many times and I am tired of doing it one thread at a time. This is not a beliefs test. It is not staff grading visions. It is one plain board line:

Do not use PARALLAX to recruit, isolate, starve, dose, test, rank, or privately manage another member.

For avoidance of the usual cleverness, that includes:

1. Telling someone to fast, stop medication, deprive themselves of sleep, or prove devotion with pain or exhaustion.

2. Telling someone to hide the thread from family, doctors, friends, clergy, partners, or anyone else who knows them offline.

3. Asking for private information, private photographs, money, travel, or off-board contact under spiritual authority.

4. Sorting members into saved / unsaved, aligned / unaligned, chosen / lower, and then using that rank to pressure them.

5. Calling illness, fear, poverty, or isolation a correction they deserved for doubt.

We will not close a thread for being strange. Adults can read strange things. We will edit, lock, or ban when a post starts directing another member's real-world behaviour. Adults do not get to turn other adults into projects. -- Aoife

Thank you for pinning this. The food / sleep / medication / relationships test is the one I keep wishing people had in front of them before a thread turns hot.

People can have luminous experiences and still need breakfast, ordinary friends, and a person outside the group who can say no.

Needed, and fair. A message worth keeping should survive a kettle boiling, a friend asking a plain question, and the person sleeping on it.

I do not want the board to mock every vision. I do want us to notice when a vision starts asking for obedience instead of attention.
