One page. Specific hook in first paragraph. No "gripping" or "heartwarming". SASE always.

Target the right agent. Research recent sales. Generic letters go to the bottom of the pile.

Track your submissions. Six to eight targeted queries at a time. Revise the letter if no responses after a round.
