Description

A standing mirror in a plain dark frame. Its reflection lags the room by a fixed interval — long enough to notice, short enough to doubt. Movement in the glass completes after the movement that caused it.

Provenance

Recovered from Wend, Local Minus 3, the inverse adjacency. Catalogued reversed, as that universe is; the lag is measured forward against the Meridian Standard.

Condition

Stable. The interval has not drifted. Readers are asked not to use the mirror to confirm that they are still present.

Restricted. Viewed singly, under supervision; not to be set opposite any other reflective surface in the collection.
