The Standing Lamp

A self-luminous lamp from a sunless, airless city, lit without any power source.

Description
A self-luminous lamp of a pale, seamless metal — no filament, reservoir, cell, or switch. It gives a constant cold white light and has not dimmed since accession. It is one of many identical lamps that light a sunless, airless city, abandoned but undecayed, from which it was recovered.
Provenance
Recovered by the partner from the dead city; a single example was removed.
Condition
Unchanged in every measured respect since accession; draws no detectable power.
Handling
Displayed lit. It is not to be extinguished.
